Work environment
Currently; due to VEERUM’s proactive COVID 19 response, we are mainly working remotely in teams at this present time but it is forecasted that the successful person may be required to interact and contribute with the VEERUM team at Calgary downtown office location when the team returns to the office. This may be necessary as part of the onboarding as well. This would be during normal Monday to Friday core hours of 9 am to 5 pm or a schedule that is mutually agreed upon. The successful candidate will take direct supervision from the Client Solutions Leaders or Senior Specialists.

Who we are looking for
The Summer Sales and Marketing student is a member of the VEERUM’s business development and marketing teams, supporting the acquisition of new customers and general marketing support. You will work closely with the Account Managers and the Brand Manger support key initiatives and your responsibilities may include:

Social Media Coordination and Support

  • Social media audit and recommended strategy / content / calendar
  • Content creation: Social media, blog posts, white papers
  • Collaboration on messaging and creative branding

Marketing Coordination and Support

  • Market research: pricing, messaging, positioning
  • Google Ads: keyword research, geographic research, cost analysis
  • Newsletter assistance
  • Update templates
  • Event organization assistance

Sales Support

  • Research, identify and qualify potential clients of VEERUM solutions.
  • Contact and set up demonstrations of VEERUM solutions in coordination of sales team.
  • Assist in proposal development and generation.

Product support*

  • Working with product development to continuously improve the VEERUM solution and drive maximum client value.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to take direction, work remotely, participate on virtual teams and be a strong individual contributor but in a team environment.

Experience you’ll bring to the table

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

  • Have completed 2nd year or 3rd year of a Business related degree or diploma.
  • Demonstrated experience being able to deliver epic customer service.
  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
  • Experience in office and G-suite applications (e.g. Google Docs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, slides)

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with video editing (Premiere Pro)
  • Experience with web design (Wix or Wordpress)
  • Experience in the energy industry
