Job Description

PrimeGov Solutions is one of the leading innovators providing government software solutions with a focus on bringing government and citizens together to improve their communities.
With strong market need, and a fast-growing organization, PrimeGov is looking a Sales Director in the Midwest Region of the United States, focused on new business development and growth. This individual will expand our sales growth in the region and contribute to the company’s overall business revenue and sales target objectives.
The ideal candidate will be based out of Texas or Illinois.


  • Achieve top line sales and revenue targets within assigned territory
  • Manage complete sales cycle from lead through customer relationship management
  • Manage and grow pipeline through active prospecting and territory plan
  • Create and manage a territory plan to capitalize on prospect opportunities
  • Manage a consultative sales motion at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate and articulate ROI of products and services to prospects
  • Create targeted, solution oriented proposals with appropriate positioning and pricing for software and services
  • Develop and track pipeline within assigned territory utilizing CRM and report weekly on pipeline/forecast/opportunity progression
  • Represent product portfolio through speaking engagements, industry events and trade shows
  • Maintain awareness of market needs and industry trends and use information to optimize market position
  • Must be willing to travel within the region of up to 50%


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of enterprise level sales experience
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Solid understanding of solution selling value proposition
  • Demonstrated knowledge of negotiation process
  • Demonstrated ability to work in sales team environments
  • Technical aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and manage time and territory effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Government sales experience is a plus
  • Experience selling a software solution to the Government is required, with a strong preference selling at the local government level
  • Successful sales experience in B2B SAAS highly preferred
