Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The function of this position is to drive profitable sales and grow EBITDA of Commercial& Architectural products by identifying prospective customers and selling the breadth of the company’s Commercial& Architectural products.  We are looking for candidates in the Virginia/ Greater DC area.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES& TASKS (list in order):

Fully understand and demonstrate ability to effective sell all of the company’s Commercial& Architectural products

Increase sales and EBITDA by effectively servicing existing accounts and identifying new target accounts for the company’s products.

Along with Sales Director, develop annual sales plans and initiatives.

Execute plans and initiatives and report all results regularly.

Continuously monitor own performance to plans and initiatives, and maintain frequent interaction with Sales Director to ensure complete synchronization of expectations and results. Will provide summary of weekly results and notable activities, and monthly analysis of results and corrective actions.

Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts at all Commercial& Architectural accounts within assigned territory. Recommend to the Director any changes in strategy with any account to ensure effectiveness.

Travel regularly within assigned territory to ensure customer relations are established and maintained.

Identify new products to be offered by Commercial& Architectural Sales Team, and forward relevant details to the Director for consideration.

Routinely gather competitive intelligence including but not limited to pricing, service, staffing, and strategy and forward to the Director for analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform this job successfully. Equivalent job-related experience might be substituted for educational degree(s).

Education: Four (4) year Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience (building products industry preferred)

Skills:

Computer knowledge along with excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.

Ability to travel on a nationwide basis on short notice in order to accomplish the company goals is needed. Expected to be up to 80% of time.

Must be articulate and well-spoken in order to present functional aspects of products to industry professionals while seeking a“competitive edge.”

Basic and some advanced mathematical skills are required.

Must have ability to reason logically and analytically.

Excellent written communication skills are also essential.

Must be fluent product knowledge and the ability to answer questions and/or effectively communicate product knowledge to other professionals.

A technical and analytical mind to understand building codes is needed.

A strong customer satisfaction orientation is required.

Must have a self-starter who can thrive in an environment where they can initiate change.
