Job Description

The Sales Support Representative’s primary role is to act as the point of contact between SSI and the customer by responding to all questions and inquiries in an accurate, timely and responsive manner.

    • Key Accountabilities: *
    • Sales Representative Support*: Contribute to great customer relationships by providing industry-leading customer support


  • Manage correspondence with the customer, including:


  • order entry
  • quote entry/follow up
  • sample request/follow up
  • proactive inventory management (PIM) support
  • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries including e-mail, phone and web
  • Ensure minimal effort is needed by customer through thorough and accountable issue resolution
  • Coordinate with other departments where necessary to resolve inquiries
  • Administrative Duties: *Coordinate the flow of information to provide support to our customers and fulfillment teams
  • Ability to make discretionary decisions as it relates to order fulfillment and returns processing
  • Complete daily review of opportunities and quotes, open orders, and unresolved customer issues
  • Track and update activities and tasks
  • Other essential functions*
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of 3 years of customer service and/or sales support experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate level computer skills are required. (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Math competencies including unit conversions and basic operations
  • Work Environment: *This position requires the ability to work in a typical office environment, interfacing with computers and other office equipment much of the day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
This position is currently remote (working from home) due to Covid-19, but this position will return to the office, when we transition back to the workplace. Some of the early training may take place in the office with safety protocols.
