As an Email Marketing Strategist at Blue Moon Digital, you will be part of the Email team. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of email marketing strategies for our global client base to maximize the contribution from the email channel and to support our clients’ business strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proficient with Email Service Providers
  • Solid working knowledge of email strategies to effectively drive consumer engagement on the website
  • Work with internal and external IT resources to ensure essential technical steps are taken for proper email program setup and integration
  • Continually audit existing client email creative and facilitate steps to ensure a consistent look and feel for our clients’ email programs
  • Develop and refine email creative in line with client brand standards, web/print creative and other current marketing campaigns
  • Work with clients to coordinate their email calendar in order to create the best email experience for the subscriber
  • Issue comprehensive email program reviews outlining key stats, trends, learnings, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to drive conversions with email by researching, collecting and analyzing data
  • Employ RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) segmentation techniques which maximize Customer Lifetime Value
  • Ensure our clients’ email files are properly maintained: Opt-In, Opt-out updates, ECOA, etc.
  • Work with VP of Operations and Manager of Email Solutions on clients’ marketing calendar planning and forecasting, improved list management, defining creative templates, email best practices, customer relationship strategies, and improved effectiveness and relevance of consumer contact.
  • Recommending segmentation strategies to target customers and to drive consumer engagement
  • Presentation of weekly, monthly and/or quarterly reports, which require the ability to analyze data from conceptualization to presentation
  • Design email testing scenarios; direct the execution, analyze the effectiveness, communicate findings and recommend/implement strategies based on the results
  • Development of email campaigns, including (but not limited to) trigger-based and re-contact email campaigns

What We’ll Love About You

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 3-4 years related experience and/or training in email marketing and strategy
  • Excellent client management skills; confidence in meeting with clients to present email program progress and concepts for discussion
  • Strong knowledge of current CAN-SPAM and other email legislation
  • Experience working with integrated email marketing platforms and subscriber lifecycle messaging
  • Experience with Omniture, Google Analytics and Coremetrics web analytics programs
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), Listrak, Bronto, Responsys or similar email platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML
  • Experience defining API’s and designing gateways that will be used by the client and their email service providers
  • A clear understanding of the relationship between email and social and other consumer communication channels
  • Strong analytical skills
  • An upbeat, team-oriented attitude; willing to learn and adapt to a new environment
  • The desire and ability to be a mentor to teammates and colleagues
