Our team is growing and we are actively looking to hire a Leasing Facilities Specialist for an exciting contract opportunity.

The Leasing Facilities Specialist will manage the day-to-day issues with AIA and Field office locations, liaise with various landlords and property managers as well as work closely with business units on space planning requirements. The Leasing Facilities Specialist will also work with various business partners to provide input and perform market search/inspections for potential new space.


  • Manage and maintain various contracts pertaining to leased locations
  • Conduct site surveys and presents recommendations for potential new offices locations
  • Establish and maintain service contracts
  • Estimate costs of site improvements
  • Coordinate renovations and repairs for existing and new locations
  • Determine furniture needs
  • Coordinate AIA office openings with other departments
  • Provide support documentation for planning annual budget for all leased locations
  • Represent the Facilities team in various cross functional projects or initiatives
  • Recommend cost effective solutions for lease related expenses: office relocations, office reconfigurations, services for leased locations, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • College degree or equivalent
  • Certified Property Manager designation is an asset
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Organizational and record keeping skills
  • Ability to provide support and recommendations on leasing related issues
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
  • General knowledge of commercial real estate an asset
  • Ability to read floor plans
  • Knowledge of cabling and electrical requirements
