Job Description

The Business Development Representative is a dedicated resource who will effectively manage lead qualification. With the primary objective of supporting the Sales database integrity and coordinating Sales-related prioritization, this person contributes to overall XCM sales goals by ensuring that all the hot and warm leads are being worked. In some cases, the Business Development Representative will be a prospective customer’s first point of contact. In his/her day-to-day work, the Business Development Representative will primarily focus on lead qualification, reporting, and data accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure leads are correctly entered, assigned, and pursued
  • Maintain a high volume of activity including outbound cold calls, emails, & social selling
  • Analyze leads and provide reporting to ensure follow-up on all potential opportunities
  • Pre-qualify leads by sourcing missing lead detail prior to inclusion in Salesforce database
  • Review cold leads for prospect engagement to identify Sales engagement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
  • Coordinate trade show attendance and trade show lead follow-up
  • Coordinate appointment setting and meeting scheduling as appropriate by engaging with prospective customers
  • Manage the general sales phone line and sales inquiry email correspondence
  • Interact with Sales and Marketing to inform them of opportunities and roadblocks

 

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in sales support, customer support, or operation roles
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, strong follow-through, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to mine leads, build relationships, and create value for prospective customers

Working Conditions

  • May be requested to work overtime due to special program events
  • Be able to work in the Quincy office
