The Austrian team is looking for a Manager in our Account Management team to drive Mastercard’s payment strategy forward, by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital innovations, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

In this important client-facing position, you will:
 Partner with Austrian retail banks and payment service providers to identify new payments business growth opportunities, solve problems and deliver solutions.
 Navigate through the organization and coordinate efforts of Mastercard teams and business lines to create value for Mastercard's customers such as but not limited to portfolio migrations, open banking projects, cybersecurity solutions
 Promote innovations related to the payment industry and its adjacencies.
 Actively identify opportunities to sell value added services e.g. advisory, loyalty, cybersecurity solutions, etc.
 Expand Mastercard client network beyond the traditional cards business and build new relations.
 Build deal structures supported by analytical business case, negotiate contract and follow up on performance
 Take responsibility for driving all existing and future Mastercard revenue.

All About You:
The ideal candidate for this position should:
 Possess previous Sales / Business Development / Relationship Management experience
 Have a good understanding of the banking and payment industry
 Continuously grows his or her knowledge and expertise related to banking, payments and adjacent areas
 Communicate easily with client representatives across various org chart layers and business areas
 Demonstrate excellent influential skills, both externally as well as internally
 Be excellent problem solver and “dots connector”
 Lead negotiations with clients and mobilize relevant internal resources
 Exhibit good analytical skills
 Demonstrate entrepreneurial mindset and thoughtful risk-taking approach
 Be creative, constructive and proactive!
 And yes, a Master or bachelor’s degree
 Fluent in German and English
 A good sense of humor paired with strong work ethic and ambition to “make a difference”
