The Regional Field Sales Representative will serve Pre-/Post- Doctoral individuals in an endorsed environment to assist in their understanding of our customized insurance program. We have a long standing relationship with the endorsing professional organization, which has allowed us to offer protection to generations of its members. The sponsored insurance program created a customized protection package for Pre-/Post Doctorial individuals and this position’s primary focus is creating new or managing existing relationships with these individuals and key influencers in various outreach opportunities to educate them about our sponsored products in order to establish a relationship that results in the acquisition of business. This is accomplished through a consultative sales approach, setting remote or personal meetings and providing insurance insight and product information. This role requires 50% travel (+/-) within designated region. This position can be worked from home/remote.

 

Responsibilities:


    • Establish and maintain key relationships with Pre-/Post-Doctoral individuals.
    • In-depth knowledge of the endorsed plan and competitor offerings.
    • Host educational seminars and vendor fair participation.
    • Develop and follow up on leads generated through in the field activity.
    • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Protective’s application process, paperwork and website functionality.
    • Participate and support university chapter events by working with centers of influence.
    • Help grow the program’s offerings.

Qualifications

    • 3-5 years’ experience (5-7 ideally) in a sales capacity within the insurance or financial services industry.
    • Life and Health license required
    • Must demonstrate excellent communication/presentation/interpersonal skills.
    • Possess a strong ability to build rapport/credibility by utilizing endorsed relationship with new opportunities to achieve positive results for the association’s program.
