The Account Manager will be responsible for an assigned customer base, will meet defined sales goals through maintenance of existing customers, as well as, through the development of new business opportunities.  You will develop sales plans for Kay Accounts in the region, and develop marketing data for key Regional market sub-segments.  Your tasks will include:

  • Daily customer interaction
  • Forecasting volume and price in the CRM
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing increases
  • Driving project
  • Resolving internal and external customer issues
     
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage growth and development of key accounts using frequent customer contact to resolve issues, enhance relationships, and identify opportunities, and grow business & earnings. The Evonik GSO Activity Code must be followed.
  • Gather and report market intelligence concerning new product development, competitive activities, change in industry personnel, etc.
  • Maintain appropriate level of CRM call reporting and forecasting, opportunity management, monthly reporting, customer pricing, DSO minimization and contract negotiation.
  • Resolve customer issues/complaints in a timely fashion by deployment of appropriate resources
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or like technical field
  • 5 years of Sales, Marketing, or Formulation experience in Oil & Gas (Upstream Applications) markets, preferably in a specialty chemical environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Negotiating Skills
  • Computer Skills (Salesforce, CRMSAP)
  • Excellent Relationship Building Skills, who has the ability to resolve conflicts
