What This Role is About:

RapidSOS is looking for a Sales Engineer with a proven track record in a technical sales role. The Sales Engineer will play a major role in RapidSOS’s Business Development organization and will be critical to deal success. The Sales Engineer will own the technical sales process to help customers achieve success by leading the technical and product sale, recommending best-practice solutions, and guiding them on how to use RapidSOS’s APIs and other Products.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and present product demos to help showcase what a RapidSOS product can do
  • Assist customers with Pilot and Proof-of-Concept implementations
  • Form a deep understanding of customer business and the problems they’re trying to solve
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customers
  • Work alongside RapidSOS Account Executives/Business Development Team through the sales process, to strategize and plan for deal success
  • Educate and mentor customers and colleagues
  • Present creative new solutions that enable and inspire innovation.

What We'd Like to See in Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years pre-sales experience selling a complex, technical API-based product
  • Previous software development experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
    • backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP)
    • web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, frontend frameworks - React, Vue.js, Angular)
  • Experience building with and supporting REST APIs
  • Cloud platform experience (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Hands-on, high-energy, passionate and creative problem solver with know how to get things done and the ability to lead others to success
  • Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Telecom, Contact Center, and Security experience is a plus
  • This could be a remote position where you will work from a rapidsos office, home office, airplane, and/or a customer site. You will be traveling 25%-30% of the time for this role
